Clear Sight has hit the 50k word mark. So I am celebrating that small victory by writing up a quick blog post about Seth and Roy.
First an update on where the story stands, I’m thinking I’m a smidge under halfway with the first draft at this point. The good news is I went through the stuff I wrote on my phone while visiting family and got it all sorted out and organized by where/whether it fits in the book.
The foundation is set and I’m getting into the fun parts. Roy and Seth are to the point of wanting to trust each other. The team is working out their next big steps after the events of Quick Fire.
I am enjoying the connection between these two. Seth’s experience of his aura differs from most of the psions who have featured in the previous books and that divergence poses extra challenges for him.
Challenges that leave Roy scrambling for ways to help when his usual tricks come up short. Seth is also different in that he’s led a fairly sheltered life in some ways, but in other ways he has an acute awareness of psion history that the other leads didn’t share.
