I just finished the first draft on Hauntastic Haunts. I also finished a Hauntastic Haunts short story this week about a side character from the novel.
As I’ve mentioned, HH follows the adventures of Dan and Chad as they document their paranormal investigations. Dan’s vlog has created an online community with him at the center.
One of the characters Dan influences through his social media presence is Drew. Drew is a closeted teenager. Dan is his role model. In the short story Drew is dealing with a ghost dilemma of his own.
I’ve got the blurbs for the book and the short story ready to go, so here they are:

Drew was no stranger to feeling ostracized from his peers. His obsession with the paranormal began young. When he befriended Toby, the dead boy who lives in his garage.
Drew was the weird unathletic kid everyone avoided on the playground. As a teen, he found understanding in an online community created by a paranormal investigations vlogger.
Falling in love with Toby only made Drew’s interest in ghosts more intense. But when he discovered Toby’s striking resemblance to an unresolved missing person report, he didn’t know how to help his ghost boyfriend.
At a loss, Drew turned to his online idol for help. The truth could set Drew and Toby both free, or destroy everything between them.
This is a young adult paranormal MM short story.
Dan’s Hauntastic Haunts Investigates: Goodman Dairy
When ghosts reach across the veil, Daniel Collins is there to tell their stories.
Dan is a vlogging ghost hunter. He has devoted his life to documenting paranormal activity. In his converted van, he travels around the country exploring haunted sites. He loves the thrill of filming restless spirits.
Chad Brewer, skeptic, works for an insurance company. He doesn’t believe in ghosts, but watching Dan’s vlog is his guilty pleasure. The cute vlogger is accident prone. He has Chad’s work extension on speed-dial. The two talk whenever Dan gets hurt during an investigation, a frequent occurrence.
When Chad loses his job for approving too many claims, Dan offers him a position as his personal assistant. The pair sets out to investigate a haunted dairy barn for the vlog’s next video series. The catch is that they must live and work together in Dan’s tiny traveling home.
As their mutual attraction escalates, so does the spirit activity around them. Can the love between a skeptic and a social media sensation conquer a vengeful ghost?
This is a paranormal trans M/M romance featuring an angry ghost.
