Hey, time slipped away from me on updating here. It’s been a few months since my last update. Between the holidays and dealing with some IRL stuff trying to figure out the day job thing and getting back into the workforce after being home with little ones for a few years.
That’s been not great for my anxiety, but I’m working through it and it shouldn’t effect the books I am currently working on.
So a very merry belated happy holidays to you all! I wrote a Hauntastic Haunts short story to celebrate, details below!
I am also up to my eyeballs in edits for Clear Sight, which I am hoping to have out in the next few months. Seth and Roy are fun to write, and I hope you enjoy reading them as much as I am enjoying writing them.
I do intend for this story to wrap up the current arc for Psions of SPIRE. There might be more books to come in the the SPIRE universe. I am considering a series of novellas in the Psions universe for example.
If inspiration strikes, I may write another SPIRE novella either before or after Sight, but no promises there.
As to Hauntastic Haunts series, I’ve got a holiday short available on prolific works, Peter’s Haunted Holiday. This short features Peter Lee, a regular on the Hauntastic Haunts forums who works giving out ghost tours, and his love interest, JP, who is a trans woodcarver. The two of them team up to help a ghost Santa find rest at Christmastime.
I am writing the second novel in the series. DHHI: Hawk Lake. In the sequel, Chad and Daniel are investigating a haunted boat in Hawk Lake, Maine. This one draws from the area where I grew up, so it is fun to include details of living in a small town there.
It does follow the same couple, they are investigating some new ghosts and I am enjoying exploring how the changes in their business relationship at the end of Goodman Dairy are reflected in their romantic relations.
Writing is going well, though these two are embracing the whole honeymoon phase thing. They seem to want to go off on sexual tangents way more often in this book. I’m trying to rein them in so they can get their actual investigating done. We’ll get there. Hawk Lake is currently available for pre-order.
And Since I haven’t shared it here yet, here is the cover for my Hauntastic Haunts holiday short story:
