A very belated Clear Sight release post

So, looking at my last blog post, time got away from me. Sorry about that. I’ve been busy and the world has turned a bit upside down since the last post around the holidays. Since that time, Clear Sight has been released, completing the Psions of SPIRE series arc. If you are looking for more up to the minute updates on my writing and weekly teasers, you can join my FB group at: https://www.facebook.com/groups/PsionsofSPIREreaders/

I’m going to take a minute to talk about Clear Sight and what’s next for the SPIREverse in the rest of this post. Clear Sight is Roy’s story. He’s been part of the team since Bright Spark and he now has his happy ever after with Seth. Seth appeared briefly when the gang stopped to visit his mother the psion healer, Trina Albright, out in the woods.

Seth and Roy were a joy to write. Roy is such a caretaker, always looking to give others what they need and being a rock for the team, it was nice to finally let him find a partner who gives him what he needs too.

Seth’s story, as a fourth generation psion, was a unique perspective. The combination of his abilities, his sensory challenges and the impact generational trauma from the treatment of psions in his world had on shaping who he is, was heavy to write at times. His story came with a lot of emotion for me, and I hope you enjoy getting to know him.

Relationship-wise, these two have a mountain of baggage between them. There is angst. There is pining. There is some light bondage and hot sex.

Plot-wise, the story picks up where Quick Fire left off with the Infernal threat heating up while the gang tries to piece together SPIRE’s true motives. The impending solstice invasion is looming over everyone, and the fight for psion rights is on the cusp of real progress. The Psions of SPIRE series is complete, but I am still writing in the SPIREverse. I have a novella in the works featuring Evan Winslow, who first appears in Keen Sense when Andy is sent to do empathic interrogations.

The story takes place during the same time-frame as Clear Sight and I am hoping to have it out this later this summer or in the fall. No cover or title yet, I am working on it.

The other big psions project I am working on is a standalone novel set a few years after Clear Sight. It will feature Henry Anselm, who is briefly mentioned in Clear Sight as the son of an influential senator. Henry’s love interests are Will and Dana, who are an established couple when he meets them. It will feature a poly relationship M/M/NBi.

I have a solid chunk of the first draft written, but no official title, cover or blurb yet. Most of my other book news is Hauntastic Haunts related for the time being, so stay tuned for a release day post for Dan’s Hauntastic Haunts Investigates: Hawk Lake, which comes out this weekend.
