I’m starting the new year with a new series. Table Topped follows a group of tabletop gamers who make video games for a living. The gang features in a contemporary romance series and I have a solid chunk of the series written already so they should all come out within the first half of 2021.
The core game group includes: Theo (he/him) the GM, Gui (he/him), Errol (he/him), Pia (she/they), Laura (she/her) plus two new players: Max (he/him), and Jude (he/him).
The first in the series, Roll for Initiative is coming in early January. The main characters are Gui and Paz. Gui is an animation lead, Paz is a baker. The two of them clash when Paz answers an ad to become Gui’s roommate. Soon animosity over the correct way to clean their shared living space turns to chemistry, but is it all lust and convenience, or can they forge something more lasting?
It’s a novella length book, and will be available for free for a brief time before going into KU. More details on that to come.
The second book in the series is Charisma Check, is about Jude and Theo. Theo is Gui’s best friend and the game master for the group the series centers around. Jude is Gui’s baby brother. Jude is also an animator who follows in Gui’s footsteps, all the way to Vancouver. There is instant attraction between Theo and Jude, but while Jude is a hopeless romantic, Theo has a fear of commitment a mile wide. When Jude joins the gaming group, there is no avoiding their mutual attraction. Can Theo work through his fears to give them both a chance at love? Coming to KU in January, preorder link will be available soon!
So as not to overwhelm, I’ll only mention the remaining three books briefly for now. Book 3, Saving Throw, is Errol and Rene’s second chance romance. Book 4, Critical Success, is Max and Si’s fake relationship. And an associated book, which is currently untitled, will follow Pia, Emil, and Gregor’s relationship and navigating building a family as a queer polycule. Laura may or may not also star in her own story. We’ll see where the muse goes.
Currently working on revising books 2 and 3
I’m also working on Hauntastic Haunts, Dan and Chad’s fourth adventure will be along next year as well. I am hoping to put together a coda for Psions of SPIRE so I can get the second bundle put together for the series as well, but no promises on a timeline yet.
